Doctors on Call, a mobile medical service company, offers a reliable, professional and highly personal mobile medical care service that is currently operational in Johannesburg, the East Rand, Midrand and West Rand.
The DOC, mobile medical service, was established in 1997 due to the increasing demand for proficient 24 hour medical care and available house doctors.
DOC recognised the lack of personalised 24 hour medical care, specifically for international travellers; working parents; single parents; the elderly and anyone who may be housebound. With this in mind, we put together a strategy to accommodate this medical necessity with a mobile medical service operating 24/7.
Doctors on Call is also affiliated with leading hotel groups; guest houses; old age homes; medical assistance companies as well as a number of air crews.
Our goal was to establish a trustworthy, professional and personal service, and this is exactly what we have achieved.

We have a close relationship with all our patients and follow up on, and monitor our patient’s response to treatment.
Our house doctors offer you an opportunity to be treated in the safety and comfort of your own home with absolute privacy and care. Being treated in a safe environment means a great deal to our patients as they are less anxious than they would usually be in a busy waiting room or packed hospital.
Our house Doctors provide a convenient service to those who are unable to get to a hospital or doctor. This alleviates stress and allows the patient a chance to rest in the comfort of their own home. This service is ideal for travellers who are unfamiliar with their surroundings; parents who cannot leave their homes; the elderly; disabled and others who may not be able to leave their homes. However, should the need for hospitalisation arise, our Doctors, are able to arrange direct admissions to hospitals and without delay in the event of admission to casualty.
